Ins/Outs #16
Another month over, another list to write. The fact that everything is always changing has become a comfort and a reminder - everything won't always be like this, everything won’t always be like this. September in colour: flashes of red, moss green, pink, and brown.
Orange peel chair in Backwater Studios
Me and Margaret had a ball on these two chairs, wine glass(es) in hand, foaming at the mouth with giggles and mirth. They are so so beautiful!!!
Superdry clothing
The Polo Ralph Lauren young republican deep fried magazine cover yuppie essence pulsing within the Superdry walls must be studied. It's like a Tommy Hilifiger x Brandy Melville showroom in there and it’s kind of fab…very dark in there á la Hollister in its heyday. The creative direction/floor curation is interesting, maybe they know something we don’t.
Menthol filters
My G.O.A.T - this is a pro menthol filters zone no hate will be tolerated.
Nicole Kidman getting hit by a cyclist
It is an undeniable fact that her Getty images are like the library of Alexandria. I found these pics on a deep dive for some other photo of her smoking (there’s millions I know) and just look at the number of angles, the bob and the glam staying PUT. How does one get hit by a cyclist and still make it look chic?
2hollis
I like how his vibe is kind of like if Emma Roberts was a boy in Wild Child (2008) and her grand transformation was becoming Bruno in Brüno (2009). That’s my initial reading after watching the ‘Jeans’ music video.

Naming your own child
Now you can pay a woman somewhere in Silicon Valley to bargain with the nominal determination Gods to create a baby name that bestows your little bundle of joy with the correct brand. Taylor Humphrey is her name and I find it ironic that tailor literally means to fit or alter something to another’s liking…names are real people. Price upon request (of course).
The real question is now that we have matcha raves and regular tax evasion in Ireland, how long until we get the fun side of new money neoliberal capitalism like this sort of stuff? I’m ready to make a mood board for names like Pigeon and get paid for it too!
Newer iPhones
My iPhone 5c is BACK and I am so excited to bring my trap phone out on the town. The camera quality is questionable so expect some grainy selfies soon on your feed. Let’s make this Jazz Weekend look like it’s 2015, King Kylie is back and she’s performing in the Opera House.
Bland lingerie
The Urban Outfitters lingerie section and the Attico SS26 collection have really piqued my interest. Using bright blues and pinks, prints and playful cuts they make knicker shopping fun! Neither are in my budget but I enjoy the idea of owning some pieces.
Dublin hate
I’m sawryyy my Cork darlings but me and Cathal agreed the hate on Dublin is just good old tribalism. Maybe it was all the lovely people or getting to walk for some amazing labels in Dublin Fashion Week, or perhaps the gentrified cafe brekkie, but Dublin has grown on me very significantly.
Also I found an amazing inspector gadget tranch coat and the 2012 jacket to end all jackets in the oxfam up from gay spar! The 2012 jacket reminds me of Alexis Phifer’s style who I believe influenced Kanye West’s RTW 2012 collection.
Office jobs
Who wants to sit down while doing an eight hour shift? You mean you don’t get to look at drunk people debating politics, examine currency from around the world, or make a million ham and cheese toasties while at work? #snooze bai you're not using your back and knees like they’re meant to be.

Wonderful as usual
